(PartiallyPolitics.com) – On Sunday, Former President Trump drew a comparison between himself and former President Nixon, touting the Congressional support he currently has and the support from the GOP while he faces his legal battles. He also spoke about the support he had during the impeachment proceedings.

Trump during an interview with Mark Levin which aired on Fox News, claimed that while everything was occurring he had “such great support.” He proceeded to state that “Nixon had no support” adding that he was “very, very tough with people.” He then compared this to himself, claiming that he gets along with people very well and that he has a great relationship with congressmen like Jim Jordan.

Trump continued on to say that Nixon did not get along well with those in Congress. He then argued that the most important thing is that they have “some great people in the Republican Party,” whom Trump gets along with and they have “stuck together.”

During his one term in office, Trump was impeached twice before losing his reelection campaign in 2020. He is now running for office again in 2024 hoping to win back the White House. During his interview with Levin, Trump argued that Nixon’s “biggest regret” was that he “didn’t fight” following the 1970s Watergate scandal, which led to his resignation.

Trump’s appearance on Levin’s program was part of the promotion of his new book “Letters to Trump,” which includes the former President’s correspondence with many political figures and celebrities.
