Only 3 House Democrats Understand the Constitution

When our Founding Fathers crafted the US Constitution, the first branch of government they created was the House of Representatives in Article 1, Sections 2, 5-9 basically. When the first Congress met on March 4, 1789, there were only 59 Representatives. By 1803, there were 105 Representatives. Just before the Civil War broke out, there were 237 Representatives. In 1903, the House had grown to 386 Representatives.

In 1929, Congress passed the Reapportionment Act of 1929 that capped the membership of the house of Representatives at 435. That number still stands to this day. The number of Representatives for each state is determined by their populations based upon the periodic government Census. Per the last Census, Alaska, Delaware, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont and Wyoming only have 1 Representative. On the flip side, California has the most seats in the House with 53, followed by Texas with 36 and New York and Florida with 27, which makes the elections so important in these key states.

The very title of Representative means that the elected official is supposed to represent the people from their districts. Perhaps early on that was true, but in today’s world of Washington politics, most Representatives only represent their own special interests and the interests of those who financially support them.

Regardless, both Representatives and Senators are supposed, more than any other group of people,  to not only pass laws but abide by the laws and the Constitution. However, we all know that many of them do not live up to that standard, as has become apparent by the way House Democrats have acted since Donald Trump was announced the winner of the 2016 election.

Most House Democrats tossed the Constitution and many of our laws into the trash and then lit them on fire and blamed Trump for the inferno. First with the allegations of collusion with Russia which were never proven and now with their vote on 2 articles of impeachment against Trump.

I need to remind everyone that many of these same House Democrats boldly announced, within the first week of the 2016 election, that they would do everything in their power to destroy Trump and his presidency and remove him from office. In the course of their quest, they have worn blinders to the needs and desires of the American people while focusing all their hatred on Trump.

Last week, to no great surprise, House Democrats who control the House by a 34 seat advantage over Republicans, voted to impeach Trump on charges that are completely bogus and conjured up in the depraved and warped minds of these socialist America-haters.

However, in the midst of the Democratic feeding frenzy, 3 Democrats showed that they actually understand the Constitution and what it means to impeach the President of the United States. Those three include Chair of the House Agriculture Committee, Rep. Collin Paterson (D-MN), and two freshmen, Rep. Jeff Van Drew (D-NJ) and Rep. Jared Golden (D-ME). Golden voted against the second articles of impeachment alleging Trump obstructed Congress, but did vote in support of the first article of impeachment, accusing Trump of abusing his presidential powers.

Obviously, these are the only Democrats out of the 232 Democrats who have even the vaguest understanding of the Constitution and federal law. All of the other Democrats voted their Trump hatred instead of following the Constitution. Had they truly understood the Constitution, they would have impeached Barack Obama numerous times.
